What is a Cognitive Fingerprint™?
A Cognitive Fingerprint™ is a source-backed map of how one expert thinks, decides, and acts when they are doing their best work.
01
A map of demonstrated judgment from real work.
The method studies real calls, transcripts, drafts, and decisions. It identifies the repeated moves that explain how a person creates results and why those moves are hard for them to see from inside the work.
The value is in the part that went automatic.
Early in a career, expertise is conscious. After years of repetition, the most valuable decisions happen too quickly to narrate. That is why experts often sound generic when they describe themselves.
03
The output is an operable pattern.
Once a pattern is named and supported by evidence, it can be examined, taught, delegated, priced, used in content, or used to train an AI system.
04
It maps four layers of your thinking.
The deeper the layer, the more valuable the pattern, and the harder it is to see on your own.
Layer 2
What you do
Layer 3
Why you do it
Layer 4
How you think
05
What one looks like in practice.
I ran the method on Coach K's public record: 47 years of coaching, roughly 200k words of source material. The result was 7 named operating patterns backed by 327 documented moments — including the ownership mechanism behind "you have to have ownership or you won't have a good culture."
